We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Beluga™ AI Competition, brought to you by the TUPLES consortium in collaboration with Airbus!
The competition challenge is based on a logistic planning problem proposed by Airbus. It deals with the storage and management of cargo transported by the iconic Airbus Beluga XL aircraft Those bring aircraft parts that need to be pushed to – or pulled from – a rack system that works as a bidirectional multi queue system.
Participants will face a complex logistical problem: how to best manage components, racks, Beluga™ cargo, all in a complex temporal organization of arrivals and departures, taking into account the workers involved, possible delays due to weather conditions and much more.

Challenges
1. Scalability (Deterministic) – Ensure solutions scale efficiently.
2. Scalability (Probabilistic) – Account for variable scenarios.
3. Explainability – Develop transparent, understandable models.

Competition Timeline:
November 18th – January 19th
Preparation period: Register, collect data and requirements, and start developing your solution. The Q&A section on our portal is open for any questions you might have!
January 20-March 30
Submission period: Submit your models and solutions for one or more of the challenges.
March 31-April 30
